LIVE EDGE SLABS
Functional art furniture that effortlessly infuses a space with unique character.
Trees sometimes come down as a result of construction, old age or storms. When a tree meets this fate and we see uniqueness and quality in the wood, we save the tree. It makes us feel good knowing that a tree with history can live on in a second life as artwork, architectural elements or as furniture. Salvaging wood in this way helps to create a more sustainable world and we are proud to be part of this process.
When we have the chance, we craft our slabs from salvaged trees and make them available to artisans.
What are slabs used for? The options are endless but some popular uses are: bar tops, coffee tables, conference tables, dining room tables, fireplace mantles and wall mounts.
We mill live edge slabs from fine grain Douglas fir and Black walnut for residential and commercial applications. The slabs are rough/kiln dried and unfinished.
